“Life is a beach…”

Playing In the Sand

“Life is a beach, I’m just playing in the sand!” Literally! As I write this post I’m relaxing on the beach on a beautiful Saturday afternoon! I’m sure as folks watch me I can imagine some are thinking, “wow, he comes to the beach to play with his phone?” Ironically enough, here is an opportunity for me to use technology as a way to share my appreciation of nature.
If we remain open, messages can come from any and everywhere. Today the importance of balance comes to mind.

Balancing work, play, and relaxation!  Work is critical, at least initially, to keep a roof over your head and food in your belly until your passive income sets you financially free.  Even then it is still important to produce and contribute in meaningful ways to society.  All work and no play makes for a dull life, so what do you do for fun?  Bike?  Swim?  Run?  Etc.  You know the old saying, a body in motion tends to stay in motion…of course until that body gets tired!  But seriously, it’s important to get up, get out, and move!  And lastly, relaxation!  Ahhh!  Did someone say massage?  There is nothing wrong with taking time to do nothing.  I heard it said recently, “savor the silence!”  This can prove to be very challenging as we have millions of thoughts passing through our minds every minute.  If you’ve ever felt fatigued after what was supposed to be a relaxing moment it’s because you didn’t quiet your mind.  So your body and mind weren’t given the full benefit of that refreshing moment.

Getting a daily dose of work, play, and relaxation is ideal so take the time to plan your balanced life!  You’ll live a longer more enjoyable life!
