Aspire to Inspire before you Expire!

Your most valuable currency: Your Time!  Wounds heal, broken hearts mend, bank accounts can be replenished, material possessions can be replaced…given enough time.  Time itself, however spent, once gone is gone forever.  This is why I feel the concept of time management is somewhat of a myth.  Self-management within our alotted time is more accurate.  One thing is for certain, as long as air fills our lungs and blood courses through our veins, we all have 24 hours with which to shape our lives.  Did you waste or invest(means there’s an expected return) your last 24?  What will you do with your next 24?

Your Life’s Masterpiece: Priceless or Price-less?  Obviously the highest value possible should be placed on life, my question is not about a dollar figure so much as it’s about your legacy.  According to one definition, legacy is something handed down from an ancestor or a predecessor or the past.  And by another it’s something that someone has achieved that continues to exist after they stop working or die.  We’re familiar with the concept of leaving a financial legacy, Proverbs 13:22 says, ” A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children…”  You may have also read, “what you leave to someone isn’t as important as what you leave in someone.”  I believe in both philosophies and for the purposes of this post we’re going to focus more on the importance of “what you leave in someone.” To me, motivation comes from within and inspiration comes from without.  Inspiration is something special, it causes mankind “to fill with enlivening or exalting emotion.”  Take a second to read that last line again… it just feels good right?  To be inspired is to elevate to another level, at times I’ve heard commentators say, when speaking about an exceptional performance, “He’s playing inspired basketball!”

We may not all have the aspiration to start a school like an Oprah Winfrey or invest a billion dollars in the school system like a Bill Gates but we certainly can Aspire to Inspire before we Expire!  They each have 24 hours in their day.  We each have 24 hours in ours.  Sometimes when we inspire someone else it’s in the public eye other times we don’t even know we’re being watched.  This is why personal development is such a passion of mine!  And yes, personal development is exactly that… personal, however, I also believe in personally developing so that I may increase my ability to inspire someone else.

Inspiration is like an infinite ripple in the ocean of life because you can never fully measure the effect.  You inspire a child who grows up to be a policy maker who is the catalyst for changes which open doors and creates opportunities for other people who then go out and inspire more children and the wonderful cycle continues!  How much was that initial dose of inspiration worth?  Priceless!  I encourage you to not only be the best you and create the best life for you and your family but also for the onlooker who you may inspire to be, do, and have more!  Time is irreplaceable and money comes and goes… the effects of an Inspired Life can last an eternity!

Be an Inspiration!  Life is Giving You the Green Light!
