If I asked you to say something in Aramaic, like me, you’d probably “think” you’d be at a loss for words.  However, I learned recently that you and I have always known an Aramaic word and in fact it’s a fun-filled word which we probably used most as a child.  The latest book I’m reading, E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality by Pam Grout expanded my mind within the first few pages with reference to this word!  You’ve heard the old adage, life and death are in the power of the tongue and in that same vein Hung by the Tongue authored by Francis P. Martin is an amazing read which could have had as its title this Aramaic word.  Awhile back I wrote a post called S.P.E.A.K. It Into Existence which has at its premise that our thoughts and words create our reality.

I’m sure by now you’ve guessed the Aramaic word is Abracadabra!  At its root abracadabra literally means “I will create as I speak.”  There are a number of reasons this resonates with my spirit, I’ll mention three here:  1. Most of us, if asked, would not remember the first time we heard the word.  It’s almost like we’ve known it all along and I believe intrinsically we’ve understood the meaning forever.  2. “I will create as I speak” says to me, each of us is in complete control of our outcomes in life.  The words we speak to ourselves and to the universe dictate our life experience, change your language change your life!  3. I believe we are created in the image and likeness of our Creator therefore “I will create as I speak” is proof-positive of our god-like ability to also create!

So as you look at your life right now, understanding we are always looking to take it to the next level, are you where you want to be say financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, relationally, or any other measure you have for your life?  If your answer is no, I would encourage you to evaluate your language around that area of your life.  Over the next few days, remain cognizant of both your internal and external conversation.  Just like we’ve created habits in action, we’ve all created habits in language.  Think about it, when someone asks you, “what’s up,” or “what’s going on” is your natural response, “oh nothing much.”  My answer to those questions now is always, “Everything!”  Everything IS up in my life.  Everything IS going on in my life!  I choose to speak abundance into my life.  Are you one who says, “it’ll be just my luck…?”  Usually when folks say that it’s coming from a place of believing something bad is about to happen.  I believe amazing things are supposed to happen in my life everyday.  Speak positivity into your life and get around others who will speak positivity into your life as well.  In keeping all integrity with self and as a way to verbally move toward your desired location, Esther Hicks, author of Ask and It is Given, says it best, “I’m grateful for where I am and eager for more.”  It goes with you, be grateful for where you are and remain open and eager  for more.  Repeat often, “I will create as I speak!”

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom! I will certainly look at the word “abracadabra” differently from this day forward. “I will create as I speak” Amen!
